The list of celebrities slated to attend the upcoming Raise Your Hand for Africa charity poker tournament is huge. World Series of Poker bracelet record holder Phil Hellmuth has announced that 2011 Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and recording artists, Pink, Akon and Tobey Keith are all scheduled to headline the event.
“Craziest list of celebrities ever!” he proclaimed on his Twitter page Wednesday morning.
The poker tournament will be hosted by Hellmuth, Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings and Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals. A number of top NFL players will be on hand to participate.
Raise Your Hand for Africa is a Texas Hold'em tournament benefiting the Starkey Hearing Foundation and PROS FOR AFRICA. The tournament takes place Saturday, February 19th at The Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. The partying begins that Friday.
Starkey Hearing Foundation has helped hundreds of thousands to hear better.
The organization’s mission: “Change the social consciousness of hearing and hearing matters through education and research while providing the gift of hearing to those in need around the world.”
